Your first few lessons can be paid for on a lesson-by-lesson basis, as you get a sense of how lessons fit into your own schedule. Assuming you wish to continue, lessons will be scheduled and paid for before the first lesson of each month, and payment shall be made based upon the lessons you intend to take during the coming month. Once regular lessons begin, I will make every effort to lock in your favored time and day, and I will send out an email to set our schedule for the coming month reflecting that time and day. (See Scheduling, Cancellations, and Rescheduling below.) Payment and scheduling for an upcoming month must be received before the first lesson of that month. Payment can be in the form of cash, check made payable to “Coyote Music,” or electronic deposit such as PayPal or Venmo.

Scheduling, Cancellations, and Rescheduling: We suggest that you begin with one half-hour lesson every week. When you feel comfortable with your level of progress and the pacing of the lessons, you may customize your schedule as you see fit, scheduling an hour or more each week, or lessons every two weeks. We will be happy to schedule whatever you will gain the most from. Whatever you choose, scheduling and payment shall be taken care of at the end of one month in anticipation of the coming month. Any lessons you or the instructor anticipate missing will be noted at that time and the payment will be adjusted accordingly.

If any sudden emergency arises and you cannot make your scheduled lesson, please call us as soon as possible and we will make every effort to reschedule it. Please understand, however, that we cannot guarantee that it will be rescheduled, nor can we reimburse you or credit you for missed lessons. However, we give up to one month to reschedule any missed lessons that have already been paid for.

Another way to look at your scheduling is to think of your monthly payment as a commitment to the lessons you intend to take in the coming month. At the same time, the instructor’s acceptance of that payment is his or her commitment to give you that amount of lesson time. Should the instructor have to miss a scheduled lesson, it will be made up or credited to the following month.

Instruction time is based upon the time you reserve, so be sure to make the best use of your time. We encourage you to arrive early and use an unoccupied room, if available, to review your lesson, tune up, warm up, etc. On the other hand, if you arrive five minutes late, there is no way to make that time up, and if you miss your lesson altogether without prior notice, well, you missed your lesson. It’s better to be early, and give us as much notice as possible if you will be late or unable to attend.
