If it’s the first Friday of the month, it’s time to catch the Rhythm Kings Acoustic Duo at Popei’s in Coram. Philip Gardner (bass, vocals) and Douglas Baldwin (guitar, vocals) continue to hold court here, mixing their powerful vocals and masterful musicianship to make music that’s funky, rockin’, bluesy, and full of reggae, jazz, and old school soul.
